Charge Your Tesla or EV Right at Your Site
Driving an electric car through the Ozarks? Mountain Home is an EV charging desert — the nearest Tesla Superchargers are 50+ miles away in Branson, Missouri. Skip the detour. At Mountain Home RV Park, you charge overnight, right where you park, and wake up with a full battery. No site booking needed — call (870) 499-1608 ahead to confirm before you drive in.
How EV Charging Works Here
Every one of our 40 sites has 50-amp electric service on a NEMA 14-50 pedestal — the same plug RVs use, and the same plug EV mobile connectors use. Plug in your mobile connector, and your car charges at up to 32 amps — roughly 30 miles of range per hour, depending on your vehicle. Plug in at bedtime, wake up full. It is that simple.
What It Costs
No inflated charging fees, no apps, no membership cards — and no site booking required. Call ahead to confirm, drive in, plug in, and pay for the electricity your car actually uses, plus a $20 charging fee. We read your pedestal meter when you plug in and when you unplug. Honest power at honest prices.
What to Bring
Bring your own mobile connector. Tesla’s Mobile Connector now ships with the NEMA 14-50 adapter included, and it plugs straight into our pedestals. Driving something else? Any EV with a portable charger and a 14-50 adapter — J1772 included — charges just fine here. If your car did not come with a mobile connector (Tesla stopped including them in 2022), grab one before your trip.
The Nearest Superchargers Are a Drive Away
There is no Tesla Supercharger in Mountain Home, Arkansas. The closest ones are in Branson, Missouri (about 52 miles), Springfield, Missouri (about 77 miles), and Conway, Arkansas (about 88 miles). If you are staying with us, you do not need any of them — your site is your charger.
Fish All Day, Charge All Night
Here is the real reason EV drivers stay with us: plug in when you get back, then spend your days doing what you came for. Wade the White River for trout, boat Lake Norfork, explore Bull Shoals Lake — all within an easy drive. Your car charges while you are gone or while you sleep. This is what the Ozarks are supposed to feel like: no range anxiety, no charger hunting, just water, woods, and a full battery in the morning.
EV Charging FAQ
Can I charge my Tesla at an RV park?
Yes. Most RV parks with 50-amp service — including ours — can charge a Tesla. You need your Tesla Mobile Connector with the NEMA 14-50 adapter, which plugs directly into the site pedestal.
How fast is 50-amp EV charging?
On a 50-amp RV pedestal, a mobile connector draws up to 32 amps — about 7.7 kW, or roughly 30 miles of range per hour for most Teslas. An overnight stay easily adds 200+ miles.
Do I need a special adapter to charge at your park?
Just the NEMA 14-50 adapter for your mobile connector. Tesla’s current Mobile Connector includes it in the box. Non-Tesla drivers need whatever 14-50 adapter fits their portable charger.
Can non-Tesla electric cars charge here?
Absolutely. Any EV with a portable Level 2-capable charger and a NEMA 14-50 adapter can use our pedestals — Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, GM, all of them.
Is there a Tesla Supercharger in Mountain Home, AR?
No. The nearest Tesla Superchargers are in Branson, MO (about 52 miles), Springfield, MO (about 77 miles), and Conway, AR (about 88 miles). Our guests charge overnight at their site instead.
